Integrity & responsible research

Research ethics and integrity

Our research standard is independent evidence, proportionate methods and respect for the people whose information makes research possible.

Before fieldwork

Every assignment should define its decision question, method, participant risks, consent approach and data-handling responsibilities. Required institutional, sector or country approvals must be identified and obtained before the affected activities begin.

During research

Researchers should collect only justified information, work respectfully, protect confidentiality and document material deviations from the agreed method. Findings must not be fabricated, selectively altered or presented as more certain than the evidence supports.

Analysis and reporting

Outputs should distinguish findings from interpretation, identify important assumptions and limitations, and make sources and calculations traceable. Client review should improve factual accuracy while preserving analytical independence.

Accountability

Concerns about participant treatment, research conduct or a published finding can be sent to info@iderafrica.com. Include the study or publication title and enough detail to locate the issue.
