Quality is built into each decision.
Research quality depends on controls throughout the assignment: design, pilot, fieldwork, data management, analysis and reporting. The quality plan is tailored to the research risk and agreed scope.
Research design
Define the problem, research questions, methods, sampling, indicators, instruments and analytical plan. Internal review checks that the design can answer the client’s decision within the available time and resources.
Pilot and fieldwork
Recruit and train researchers, translate instruments where needed and pilot the approach. Supervision can combine GPS and time checks, observation, spot checks, back-checks, call-backs and live fieldwork monitoring.
Data management
Apply validation rules, duplicate detection, missing-data review and outlier assessment. Maintain cleaning logs, controlled access, version histories and documentation. Protect respondent information from collection through archiving or deletion.
Analysis and reporting
Follow the analytical plan, triangulate evidence, test assumptions and sensitivity, and make limitations explicit. Technical and editorial review checks reproducibility, source traceability, visual clarity and whether recommendations follow from the findings.
Validation and final approval
Client validation tests interpretation and usability. It does not allow inconvenient evidence to be suppressed or conclusions to be predetermined. Final quality approval confirms the output’s scope, limitations and decision implications.
Assurance chain
Design review → Pilot → Field monitoring → Data validation → Analytical review → Client validation → Final approval.
