The right expertise for the question.
IDER’s expert-network model combines a core team with associate experts, sector specialists, country researchers and fieldwork teams. Teams are scoped around the methods, sector, geography and quality requirements of an assignment.
Research and analytical disciplines
Assignments may draw on development economists, financial analysts, investment researchers, statisticians, econometricians, market researchers, data scientists and GIS specialists.
- Commercial and financial interpretation
- Quantitative and qualitative research
- Monitoring, evaluation and impact methods
- Agricultural, health and social-protection economics
- Fieldwork management and local-language research
How teams are assembled
The proposal identifies relevant roles, required experience, technical leadership and quality responsibilities. Availability, country capacity, conflicts of interest and suitability are assessed before commitments are made. Named profiles, qualifications and memberships are supplied only with authorisation and verification.
Join the expert network
Researchers and technical specialists can register an expression of interest with their expertise, relevant assignments, languages and availability. Registration does not guarantee employment or an assignment.
Teams evidenced by completed assignments
The 2020 GNHR and 2023 WFP reports document research and data coordination, operations and community engagement, MIS and quality assurance, field supervision and local enumeration. These assignment teams supported training, field logistics, digital data collection and review. Current team composition is confirmed in each proposal.
Recruitment and professional standards
IDER’s policies require prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse training and set out application review, interviews, reference checks and candidate self-declarations. Verification requires explicit candidate consent and confidential handling of records. The standards cover employees, consultants, volunteers and contractors.
