Integrity & responsible research

Information security

IDER’s security approach is to match safeguards to the information, the service and the assessed risk.

Protect information throughout its use

The security standard covers restricted access, secure transfer, proportionate record keeping, service-provider review, updates, backup and incident handling. Controls must be tested and maintained for the systems in use.

Website files

Optional uploads should be restricted by permitted type and size and placed in private quarantine. They must not be released for normal use until the required malware check produces a verified result. If scanning is unavailable, the file remains quarantined.

Security guidance

The OWASP Top 10:2025 informs the website’s security review. It is an awareness framework for application risks. A reference to OWASP does not mean the website is certified or that a penetration test has been completed.
