Evidence, expertise and practical decisions

International Research Partnerships

Combine international technical expertise with local understanding of markets, institutions and delivery conditions.

Where collaboration creates value

Research firms, universities and advisory organisations can work with IDER on design, sampling, economic analysis, field delivery and dissemination. Early discussions should identify the research question, countries, client requirements and evidence of each partner’s relevant capacity.

  • Agree a division of technical and commercial responsibilities.
  • Document quality standards, intellectual property and publication rights.
  • Confirm country partners, language needs and safeguards before mobilisation.

Agreeing an assignment

Submit a partnership enquiry with the lead organisation, end client or donor, opportunity reference, country, deadline, expected duration and scope required from IDER. Proposed participation remains subject to a review of expertise, resources, conflicts and commercial terms.

Delivery and quality responsibilities

A partnership work plan should allocate research design, field supervision, data management, analysis, review and client communication. Confidentiality, subcontractor controls, acceptance criteria and escalation arrangements should be agreed before work begins.
