Evidence, expertise and practical decisions

Fieldwork Partnerships

Reliable primary evidence depends on preparation, supervision and transparent quality checks.

Where collaboration creates value

IDER can scope household, enterprise, customer and institutional field research. Partners should share coverage, interview length, sample design, languages, timing and data-security requirements so the proposed field team and supervision model can be evaluated.

  • Recruit and train against the study’s competencies.
  • Pilot instruments and document revisions.
  • Use proportionate consent, back-checks, time checks and field monitoring.

Agreeing an assignment

Submit a partnership enquiry with the lead organisation, end client or donor, opportunity reference, country, deadline, expected duration and scope required from IDER. Proposed participation remains subject to a review of expertise, resources, conflicts and commercial terms.

Delivery and quality responsibilities

A partnership work plan should allocate research design, field supervision, data management, analysis, review and client communication. Confidentiality, subcontractor controls, acceptance criteria and escalation arrangements should be agreed before work begins.
